Project Overview
Elouera Constructions completed AVL upgrade works for the Registrars Court within the Chief Secretary’s Building at 121 Macquarie Street, Sydney NSW.
Delivered as part of a Department of Communities and Justice project, the works were carried out within a commercial heritage environment, requiring careful coordination, attention to detail and respect for the character of the existing building.
The project commenced in August 2025 and was completed in January 2026.
Joinery Upgrade
The scope included the upgrade of workstation areas within the Registrars Court, with new joinery installed to incorporate AVL componentry and support the functional requirements of the space.
Acoustic panelling was also installed to improve the usability and performance of the upgraded area, helping create a more practical and refined working environment within the court setting.
Flooring, Cabling & Interior Finishes
A false floor was constructed to allow cabling to be concealed neatly and kept out of sight, supporting a cleaner and more organised finish.
New floor coverings were then installed, including broadloom carpet and linoleum, selected to suit the operational needs and presentation of the space.
The walls were repainted in a refreshed colour scheme, while existing timber doors, architraves, reveals and sills were carefully freshened up to improve the overall appearance while maintaining respect for the heritage setting.
Delivery & Outcome
The completed works provided a more functional, modern and visually refined workspace within the Registrars Court, while preserving the character and quality of the Chief Secretary’s Building.
This project demonstrates Elouera Constructions’ capability in delivering commercial heritage upgrades where modern workplace functionality, specialist joinery, concealed services and sensitive heritage finishes need to come together carefully.
