Rydges Hotel Remediation & Floor Refit, Queensland

Queensland

Project Overview

Elouera Constructions was engaged to assist with the management and delivery of remediation and refit works at Rydges Hotel in Queensland.

The project involved a range of remedial construction works required to address water ingress issues and restore affected areas of the building. This included structural steel design coordination and repairs, structural slab repairs, demolition and removal of existing waterproofing systems, and the installation of new waterproofing and roofing works.

Working Within an Occupied Hotel

Because the building was an operational hotel environment, the project required careful planning, coordination and staging. Works had to be managed around hotel operations, guests, staff, access requirements and safety considerations, while ensuring the remediation works were completed to a high standard.

The project required strong coordination between trades, consultants and site stakeholders, particularly due to the live operating environment and the need to minimise disruption wherever possible.

Full-Floor Refit

Once the waterproofing, roofing and structural remediation works were completed, Elouera Constructions carried out a full-floor refit to return the affected area to a high-quality commercial finish. This helped support the hotel’s return to full trading capacity and ensured the space was restored for ongoing use.

This project demonstrates Elouera Constructions’ capability in managing complex commercial remediation and fitout works, including water ingress rectification, structural repairs, waterproofing, roofing and internal refit delivery within occupied buildings.
