Elouera Constructions was engaged to deliver refurbishment works at an Indigenous childcare facility in Lightning Ridge, NSW, as part of a BGIS / Department of Communities and Justice project.
The project involved a range of internal and external improvements designed to enhance the safety, comfort, functionality and presentation of the childcare environment. The scope included the removal of existing floor finishes and the installation of new flooring throughout the childcare facility, along with fresh internal painting to provide a cleaner and more updated finish.
External works included improvements to the children’s outdoor play areas, including the installation of a shade sail, new softfall surfacing to the play area, a water misting system, and a retractable blind system to support more comfortable use of the outdoor spaces.
Additional works included the installation of a compliant security system with CCTV, along with upgrades to cabinetry and toiletry areas. These improvements helped create a more practical, secure and child-friendly environment for staff, families and children using the facility.
